6 Dogs With Special Needs Get Their Dream Come True With A Woman's Adoption

Tracey felt a void in her home that grew bigger every day after she lost her German Shepherd, Hayden, to a cruel disease that made him lose his mobility. She decided to honor his memory by adopting dogs that others ignored at shelters. Now she has eight furry companions who share her adventurous life.

His owner Tracey told Bored Panda that Hayden, the valiant dog, fought degenerative myelopathy for years before a wheelchair became necessary for him. But he never gave up his joy or his playfulness until the end.

"I miss Hayden, but I wanted to help other dogs like him. I have eight pets in my current family! Six of them have special needs and came to me through social media or by chance at adoption events — the other two belonged to friends who passed away."

Tracey's advice to anyone who visits her is simple: watch your feet or you might get run over by one of these adorable pups.

Tracey loves her dogs more than anything. She treats them all equally and they love her back. One way she shows them extra love is by taking them skiing in the winter — they don't need their wheelchairs then and they have a blast!

The gentle woman agreed that this kind of animal was not fit for all, but she also maintained that it was not too tough to look after them. "If you are scared or disgusted by poop and pee then you might not want to adopt a special needs pet! But honestly — it's no different than if they had four legs."

The company founder of the Fowler Herd has ambitious plans for this winter and she won’t give up until they’re done. She says, “It would be a great achievement if we can offer another option to one owner instead of saying goodbye.”
